Fontanafredda
Like all good things, Fontanafredda is the product of a love story, between the first King of Italy, Vittorio Emanuele II, and Rosa Vercellana.
From their relationship were born Maria Vittoria and Emanuele Alberto, that founded the winegrowing estate.
Today with 120 hectares certified organic, Fontanafredda is a producer of the great wines of the Langhe that dwell in the 19th-century cellars: a place to be discovered among anecdotes of the royal family and curious habits of the King, in which to admire the majesty of the large oak barrels, which reveal how Fontanafredda has become an icon of Barolo throughout the world.
Casa E. Mirafiore
In 1878, Emanuele Alberto Guerrieri, Count of Mirafiore, son of the first King of Italy, founded Casa E. di Mirafiore. A cellar that express the authentic oenological tradition of the Langhe and produces wines exclusively from its own vineyards, including two of the finest Barolo DOCG crus, Lazzarito and Paiagallo.
Today Casa E. Mirafiore is an Organic Estate, with vineyards in the Barolo and Fontanafredda sub-zones and the winery in the heart of the Villaggio Narrante.
